I'm trying to do the Great Brain Robbery Question and need wooden cats. I was trying to make them and the wiki said I just need crafting table 1 to make it. When I click craft on the crafting table though, I can only make the different wooden horses, and the option for a wooden cat doesn't show up.
The cat can be turned into a Wily or Lazy cat after Rat Catchers, and a Hell cat after RFD, if you want the increased value to show off your questing experience. Training the cat can be rather annoying, it takes a while for the kitten to catch rats, even with the new added "Chase" right-click feature.
Try putting up some "lost-kitty" posters around Varrock and Fally. Spread the word to the town criers so they can help get the message out. I'd also check the sewers, my cat loves to hide there to try to catch the rats. If anything, drop some raw sardines outside your house overnight and see if she comes back in the morning.

A few other comments. Long before the West Ardy POH teleport becomes available, most of the guides GIMs are following unlock spirit trees ASAP by completing Tree Gnome Village. This provides the Battlefield of Khazard spirit tree, which puts you at the SW corner of West Ardy, and is your go-to teleport
