For improved pilot survivability, the Russian Kamov Ka-50 "Black Shark" helicopter is fitted with a NPP Zvezda K-37-800 ejection seat, which is a rare feature for a helicopter. Up to 1940, the year of Kamov plant establishment, they created many autogyros , including the TsAGI A-7-3 , the only armed autogyro to see (limited) combat action.
