The brewery was in full operation by the 1870s, and by 1878 it had become the third largest brewing operation in Texas, with 774 barrels recorded and distributed around the local area. The brewery’s flagship product was "Kreische Bluff Beer.” The Kreische family were well-respected members of the German community.
Falls City beer production was resumed in 1933 and was distributed in the Ohio River Valley including Kentucky, Indiana, Tennessee, and West Virginia. Following Repeal, Falls City's chief competitors were Frank Fehr Brewing Company and Oertel Brewing Company, both rival Louisville breweries.

The complex on the original NRHP designation is the 2-story attached central building, with an overhead 4th story bridge joining the east and west wings The attached east wing is a 5-story building, attached to a 4-story building.
