The Polytechnic University of the Philippines (PUP; Filipino: Politeknikong Unibersidad ng Pilipinas [4] [5]) is a coeducational state university in Manila, Philippines.It was founded on 19 October 1904, as the Manila Business School (MBS) and as part of Manila's public school system.

The 10-hectare (25-acre) campus of PUP Taguig is located at Lower Bicutan, Taguig. The site was reserved in 1967 through a Presidential Declaration, although development for the campus started in the 1990s, almost 30 years since the Presidential Declaration.
The Centennial Logo was unveiled during the celebration of 97th Foundation Anniversary at the PUP Mabini Campus. The logo was used in all documents during the centennial year. A marker bearing the Centennial Logo was placed in front of the Main Academic Building and was later moved to its present position at the Luntiang Pilipinas Forest Park. [2]
PUP San Juan is composed of five colleges which are extensions of the colleges from PUP Manila.The five colleges are the College of Accountancy and Finance, the College of Public Administration, the College of Computer and Information Sciences, the College of Education, and the College of Tourism and Hotel and Restaurant Management.
PUP San Pedro Campus was established on April 9, 2002, as an open university center by virtue of a memorandum of agreement signed by then-Mayor Felicismo A. Vierneza of San Pedro, Laguna and then PUP President Ofelia M. Carague. PUP San Pedro initially offered a single curricular program, Bachelor of Science in Entrepreneurial Management.
