Cordova Tower is an observation tower located in Cordova Park in Marion County, Iowa. [1] The tower is seated on the north side of Lake Red Rock and equidistant from the four Marion County towns of Pella, Knoxville, Monroe, and Otley.
A campground is within the park that has 149 camping spots with some of these spots having electricity. [3] There are other activities which include hiking on a nature trail, snowmobiling, and boating. Waterfowl, pheasants, squirrels, and other game animals can be hunted at the Rathbun Wildlife Unit.
McIntosh Woods State Park is a 60-acre (24 ha) state park in Cerro Gordo County, Iowa, United States, near the city of Ventura. The park, which opened in 1944, is located on the north shore of Clear Lake, the second-largest lake in the state. It is a popular access point to the lake for fishers and boaters on account of its three-lane boat ramp.
An asphalt road leads off of Hwy 2 to a large camping area with a shelterhouse, sewer dump station, handicapped-accessible showerhouse, playground, 23 hard-surfaced 50 ft (15 m). camp pads, 8 primitive campsites, 8 slip boat docks, and a boat trailer parking area. Cabins located in the campgrounds are available for rental throughout the year. [5]

In 1967, the Iowa Department of Natural Resources published a controversial proposal to flood Brushy Creek's forested canyon.

Lake Icaria is a reservoir located 4 miles north of Corning, Iowa, in Adams County along Iowa Highway 148. It was built as part of the Watershed Protection and Flood Prevention Act and was completed in 1978. It is fed by Walters Creek in its northwest corner with its dam located on the west side on the lake.
