The following is a list of Georgia Bulldogs football seasons. The Bulldogs currently compete in the Southeastern Conference , and have an overall record of 853–428–54 in 127 seasons. [ 1 ] [ 2 ]
The Bulldogs represent the University of Georgia in the NCAA's Southeastern Conference. Although Georgia began competing in intercollegiate football in 1892, [1] the school's official record book often does not generally include statistics from before the 1950s, as records from this era are often incomplete and inconsistent.
All three rivalries were first contested over 100 years ago, though the series records are disputed in two cases. Georgia does not include two games from 1943 and 1944 against Georgia Tech (both UGA losses) in its reckoning of the series record, because Georgia's players were in World War II and Georgia Tech's players were not.
Georgia dominated the early series while Florida held the advantage in the 1950s and early 1960s. Georgia again dominated from the late 1960s through the 80s under coach Vince Dooley, while Florida again took the upper hand in the rivalry during the 1990s and early 2000s under coaches Steve Spurrier and Urban Meyer.
