An autograph with a JSA sticker is about as good as you can get in terms of being verified because that's what the collector market is looking for. That being said, this is a very high price for a JSA certified Shatner autograph. The man will sit at a table and sign things for an hour and each one gets a witnessed JSA cert.

However, I've found that, while sellers have both COA and sticker (with the number) on their Pops, when I enter the JSA number in their site for verification, some of them are not coming up with a match stating that they are verified.

I mean like every single one on his/her page has JSA, PSA/DNA, and Beckett authentications, and more to that, they ALL check out on their respective verification site. Back to your earlier point, I don't understand why the websites don't put a photograph of the product on their website.
Authentication is really just someone comparing the signatures you bring them to the ones in their database, verifying that the ink is real, and certifying the item with their LOA/Company Name as somewhat of a guarantee/re assurance. I have bought JSA items that ended up being deemed fake secretarial signatures later on.

If it’s got a sticker from a reputable company that matches the database, that’s usually good enough for most sellers. I think the LOA is just for when a seller would need a lot of reassurance, for like the purchases in the thousands. I don’t know that much about it though, I’ve never sent anything off for verification before
You have to choose the JSA authentication box which will be to grade unlimited sigs. That is a separate box from the authentication grade box which is for one or two sigs.
