Eddie Marano. Scott Merryfield said: 1. If using the ARC port on the display is not causing any issues, I wouldn't worry about it. 2. I look at the built-in apps on a display in the same way I look at a display's built-in speakers -- I don't worry about the feature if I'm not using it.

  3. I Remember Mama Blu-ray Review • Home Theater Forum

    www.hometheaterforum.com/i-remember-mama-blu-ray-review

Overall: 4.5/5. Because of its extensive cost, I Remember Mama did not turn a profit in its original release, but its charms have long since paid enormous dividends for those lucky enough to have come into contact with it. The Warner Blu-ray now becomes its best-ever home video release. Highest recommendation!

  5. Do you curate your large blu-ray collection? - Home Theater Forum

    www.hometheaterforum.com/community/threads/do-you-curate-your-large-blu-ray...

In short, I don't. I collect movies like a madman. Have thousands of Blu-rays and DVDs in my collection. Well over 50% of them are still in shrink-wrap. I just don't have the time to watch films. I keep thinking they will be there when I retire -- at which point, the formats I own will be outdated.

  6. Do you miss 'Ken Cranes'? - Home Theater Forum

Jan 31, 2003. Messages. 671. Ken Crane's existed in a different era, in which the economic outlook of web-based businesses seemed limitless. Since a great many fewer people owned DVD players, studios & distributors were willing to discount titles sharply, in the hopes of luring more consumers into buying players and starting DVD collections.

  7. How much sound from rear surround speakers - Home Theater Forum

    www.hometheaterforum.com/community/threads/how-much-sound-from-rear-surround...

How much sound should come from the rear surround speakers in a 5.1 system? I just got my system running and it sounds great, but most of the sound is coming from the front left, right and center speakers. I can only hear the rear surrounds if I put my ear about 24 inches from the speaker. I am running a Pioneer VSX30 and Energy Bipole rears.

  8. Do you get ID'd when you buy movies? - Home Theater Forum

    www.hometheaterforum.com/community/threads/do-you-get-idd-when-you-buy-movies...

Messages. 9,777. At the theater I work at, we have to card people for R rated films, I'm happy they started doing this for DVDs and such in Wal-Mart. Videogames have been a big controversy because they've been selling M-rated games (like Manhunt, Grand Theft Auto, and so on) to little kids. I was IDed at a Toys R Us for buying the game XIII ...

  9. PSB Image 10S surround owners? How do you like it?

#1) Different 5 1/4" mid-woofer drivers (as opposed to the 6 1/2" in the 6T, 9C and 2B) may mean they won't blend as well as the 2B's do. On the other hand, with the bipole configuration, the surround effect is going to be more spacious, so blending may be good enough with the identical tweeters.

  10. What do you guys think of Paradigm speakers? - Home Theater Forum

    www.hometheaterforum.com/community/threads/what-do-you-guys-think-of-paradigm...

4,791. Paradigm makes excellent speakers for excellent value. In that price range you may also want to look at the Reference Studio 20s, especially if you do a lot of music listening. The B&W 600 series is similar to the monitor series, a little bit pricier, but similar. IMO, I prefer the monitors over the 600 series however.

  11. DVD-ROM Features -- How Do You Access Them? - Home Theater Forum

    www.hometheaterforum.com/community/threads/dvd-rom-features-how-do-you-access...

Once you have opened up the DVD, there are two usual ways of getting to the material. 1. Click the disc icon at the top of the window, and select the DVD-ROM features option. 2. Go through the DVD menus within the InterActual Player, and click on the link that says DVD-ROM. Note: When selecting the option on a regular player, you'll usually get ...
