Loudon is a city in and the county seat of Loudon County, Tennessee, [6] United States. Its population was 6,001 at the 2020 census . It is included in the Knoxville, Tennessee Metropolitan Statistical Area .
It travels southeasterly through rural hilly terrain along the banks of the Tennessee River. The highway then enters the Loudon city limits and passes through industrial areas before coming to an end at an intersection with U.S. Route 11 (US 11, Lee Highway/SR 2) north of downtown.
