Carmen McRae in London, also known as Carmen McRae at the Flamingo Jazz Club, is a live album by American singer Carmen McRae, recorded in 1961 at the Flamingo Jazz Club in London, accompanied by a trio consisting of her regular pianist Don Abney and the British Phil Seamen (drums) and Kenny Napper (bass).
Flamingo was a small but "beautifully made" bay horse bred in England by Sir John Robinson. [2] As a yearling he was offered for sale and was bought for 1800 guineas [3] by Jack Jarvis on behalf of Laurence Philipps, 1st Baron Milford. The colt was take into training by Jarvis at his Park Lodge stable at Newmarket, Suffolk.
