Harristown State High School is a public high school located in Harristown, Toowoomba, Queensland, Australia. It was officially opened in 1955. The school currently has approximately 1700 students and is the largest on the Darling Downs. [2] Some of the Harristown State High School buildings are listed on the Queensland Heritage Register. The school was established on 1 January 1982 [5] as Christian Outreach College Toowoomba at the back of Highlands Church, [6] [1] which was founded in 1978. [ 7 ] The school changed its name from Christian Outreach College Toowoomba to Highlands Christian College on 21 January 2019.

From 1998 to 2016 Toowoomba State High School consisted of two campuses, the Mount Lofty campus and the Wilsonton campus. [6] In 2016, it was decided the two campuses would become two separate schools. [7] In August 2016, a public survey was conducted in order to determine Wilsonton Campus' new name, uniform as well as sports logo for 2017 onwards.
