The National Library of El Salvador (Spanish: Biblioteca Nacional de El Salvador, abbreviated BINAES) is a national library located in San Salvador, the capital city of El Salvador. The library was opened in November 2023 and stands on the former site of the Francisco Gavidia National Library . It was built with the cooperation of China.
Quelepa is an important archaeological site located in eastern El Salvador.Generally considered to have been settled by the Lenca people, the site was founded around 400 BC in the Late Preclassic period (500 BC - AD 250). [1]

[1] The total amount of water discharged into the Pacific is 19 million m³ in a normal year. [2] Additionally, there are several endorheic basins linked to a lake.
