New York State Route 88 (NY 88) is a north–south state highway in the Finger Lakes region of New York in the United States. It extends for 20.62 miles (33.18 km) from an intersection with NY 96 in the Ontario County village of Phelps to a junction with NY 104 in the Wayne County town of Sodus.
The Town of Lee was formed from the Town of Western in 1811. The town was named after Revolutionary War General Charles Lee. [3]About 1910, the Rome & Osceola Railroad was organized and the rails laid as far as Lee Center, with grading completed along much of the route, intended to carry timber from Tug Hill to a tie plant on a site which is now the Rite Aid warehouse on Rt 69 in Rome.
District 88 is in Westchester County. It contains Scarsdale, Eastchester, Tuckahoe, Bronxville, Pelham, Pelham Manor, and parts of New Rochelle and White Plains. The district is entirely within New York's 16th congressional district, and partially overlaps the 34th and 37th districts of the New York State Senate.
Big Schloss is a peak in the Great North Mountain range of the Ridge and Valley Appalachians, with an elevation of 2,964 feet (903 m). [2] The peak is located in George Washington National Forest on the border of Virginia and West Virginia, though according to Topozone, the actual summit is in Virginia. [2]
