Gorky's Zygotic Mynci (/ ˈ ɡ ɔː k i z ˌ z aɪ ˈ ɡ ɒ t ɪ k ˈ m ʌ ŋ k i /) were a psychedelic folk and alternative rock band which formed in Carmarthen, Wales, in 1991.The group performed music in both Welsh and English, and they had eight Top 75 singles on the UK Singles Chart during their career.

Super Furry Animals are a Welsh rock band formed in Cardiff in 1993. For the duration of their professional career, the band consisted of Gruff Rhys (lead vocals, guitar), Huw Bunford (lead guitar, vocals), Guto Pryce (bass guitar), Cian Ciaran (keyboards, synthesisers, various electronics, occasional guitar, vocals), and Dafydd Ieuan (drums, vocals).
Both bands entered a band competition to play at the Cardiff Bay Music Fiesta, and while Colour 45 came tenth and was given a place on the bill, Sweet Catatonia placed 45th. Roberts and Matthews hired a drummer, Stephen "Frog" Jenkins from the band U Thant, and continued to record bilingual Welsh /English tracks.
Racing Cars was a Welsh pop band, formed in the Rhondda Valley, Wales, in 1973. [1] Their only hit single was "They Shoot Horses, Don't They?", which peaked at number fourteen in the UK Singles Chart in 1977, and was inspired by the film, They Shoot Horses, Don't They? Touring included dates supporting Bad Company in 1976.
The School are a band based in Wales, founded in 2007. In 2008, they released their first single, All I Wanna Do, and their first EP, Let It Slip. Their debut album was Loveless Unbeliever, and was released in 2010. [1] [2] [3] Their second album was titled Reading Too Much Into Things Like Everything, and was released in 2012.
