Every day, Newsround is broadcast on CBBC once a day, with an eight-minute bulletin on weekdays and a six-minute bulletin on weekends at around 7:45am. On 26 May 2022, the BBC announced plans for CBBC, BBC Four and BBC Radio 4 Extra to be discontinued as linear services in 2025 as part of cutbacks and other changes focusing on creating a "digital-first" BBC.
