Funniest/interesting character names What were funniest/most interesting player names you've encountered in the game? For me I gotta say I laughed when I saw mage named "Frostitute" or shaman called "Restosterone".
When Steve Bourne was writing his Unix shell (which came to be known as the Bourne shell), he made a directory of 254 files with one-character names, one for each byte value except '\0' and slash, the two characters that cannot appear in Unix file names. He used that directory for all manner of tests of pattern-matching and tokenization.
You have some simple names like Fiver or Bigwig, but also more unique ones: Keehar, Hazel-rah and El-ahrairah. General Woundwort is a great name for a villain, and names in the stories the characters tell about Frith, Prince Rainbow or the Black rabbit of Inle really hit the mythology/ old world fairy tale feel.
I have a few names of various spellings for character flavor. Some are names/characters I've used for years, others are lore accurate names from other games tweaked for a new setting that kinda stuff. You tend to build up a collection when RPGs are your bread and butter.

Not a guild + character name, but I always enjoyed punny pet names. When I still played my hunter I managed to tame one of the Marsh Gulper frogs from Tanaan Jungle. For those that don't know, the Marsh Gulper--when tamed--shrinks to about the size of a critter, maybe a bit larger. Basically a big ol' bullfrog. So naturally, I named him Jeremiah.
An original character who does not appear in the game, she is the main protagonist and meets DB-6 in the back of the cave of Onrac near waterfall. She is a member of the Warriors of Light (together with Fritz, Sarah and Matoya) and helps to restore the power of the Crystals.
At one point our group met a few captured NPCs, Tyrone and Dave. Around the same time, we had a new member who wanted to join, but didn't feel like making a character. He decided to ask the DM for the character sheet to one of them, gets Tyrone, and realizes the DM never made a last name. Enter: Tyrone I'Surus.
A universal character name looks like \uFFFD or \U0010FFFD. It's a method of writing a character in your source code where the source code encoding does not include that character. C++ specifies that characters not in the basic source character set be transformed into universal character names in the first phase of translation.
