Geo. J. Carroll & Son Funeral Home. We are located in Historic South Gainesville. Our building was originally built by the George J. Carroll family in 1936 and was one of the first modern funeral homes in the North Texas area. Joe Carroll, son of George Carroll, enlarged and remodeled in 1950 to it's present appearance.
David Perry, 61, of Gainesville, Texas Passed away November 2, 2024. Services are scheduled at Geo. J. Carroll & Son Funeral Home on Thursday, November 14, 2024. Visitation will begin at 7:30 AM, the funeral will begin at 8:00 AM and interment will follow in the DFW National Cemetery at 10:15 AM.

Robert Bauer, longtime resident of Gainesville, Texas passed away November 7, 2023 at the age of 99. In the weeks preceding his death, he enjoyed dozens of visits from family and friends. He remained clear and interested in his family, his friends, current events and new ideas until the very last.
Funeral services for George Patrick Ware, Jr., 90, of Gainesville, are scheduled for 11:00 AM on Tuesday, September 24, 2024 at Geo. J. Carroll & Son Chapel with Joe Ware officiating. Interment will follow in Fairview Cemetery.
George Randal “Randy” Morgan, 74, of Gainesville, passed away July 19, 2024. He was born July 13, 1950 in Abbeville, LA, to Woodrow Wilson and Margaret Lou (Reed) Morgan. He graduated from Rider High School in Wichita Falls, TX in 1969, then served in the U.S. Navy.
Dennis Ray King, 70, of Gainesville, Texas, passed away peacefully, with his wife and his eight siblings surrounding his bed on Friday, May 26, 2023, at the Presbyterian Hospital in Denton, Texas. Family night will be Friday, June 2, 2023, at the House of Prayer, between the hours of 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.
