The Bampton Lectures at the University of Oxford, England, were founded by a bequest of John Bampton. [1] They have taken place since 1780. They were a series of annual lectures; since the turn of the 20th century they have sometimes been biennial. They continue to concentrate on Christian theological topics.

"Lectures on Faith" is a set of seven lectures on the doctrine and theology of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, first published as the doctrine portion of the 1835 edition of the canonical Doctrine and Covenants (D&C), but later removed from that work by both major branches of the faith.

“This book is the first of a series of public addresses to be known as the Swarthmore Lectures. The Lectureship was established by the Woodbrooke Extension Committee, at a meeting held December 9th, 1907. The Minute of the Committee provides for “an annual lecture on some subject relating to the Message and Work of the Society of Friends.”
