Grandma Marta Day (or simply Baba Marta, Bulgarian: Баба Марта, "Grandma Marta") is a holiday celebrated in Bulgaria, on March 1. Martenitsas , usually in the form of a wrist band, small yarn dolls, or tassels, are created by combining red and white colored threads and are worn on that day and throughout March.
Vidin (Bulgarian: Видин, pronounced) is a port city on the southern bank of the Danube in north-western Bulgaria. It is close to the borders with Romania and Serbia , and is also the administrative centre of Vidin Province , as well as of the Metropolitan of Vidin (since 870).
The Historical Museum Vidin, sometimes shortened to Konaka museum (Bulgarian: Музей "Конака"), is located in Vidin, Bulgaria. The museum, founded in 1956, is situated in a former Ottoman konak. The nice building is among the cultural memorials of the region.
Baba Vida (Bulgarian: Баба Вида) is a medieval castle in Vidin in northwestern Bulgaria and the town's primary landmark. It consists of two concentric curtain walls and about nine towers of which three are preserved to their full medieval height, including the original battlements, and is the only entirely preserved medieval castle in the country.

Brokered by Great Britain, Prussia and the Netherlands,[1] it was signed in Sistova (modern Svishtov) in present-day Bulgaria on 4 August 1791.[2] The treaty was written in French and Turkish.[1] During one of the Russo-Turkish Wars in 19th century, Svishtov has been burnt down to the ground during the retreat of the Russian Army.
It is one of the cultural memorials of the region of Vidin, Bulgaria, today. The building, constructed by Polish architects, was finished in 1801. It was used by four separate units, [1] also by a unit of the Janissaries. After liberation the building was used as court of law and as an accommodation building by the Bulgarian army. [2]
The total length of the 15 million year old cave is 2.5 km (1.6 mi). [3] The average annual temperature of the cave is 12 °C (285 K; 54 °F), except for one room where the temperature is always 15 °C (288 K; 59 °F). The air humidity reaches 80% and the displacement - 56 m (184 ft).
