On June 2, 1967, a Hoàn Kiếm turtle died from injuries caused by an abusive fisherman that was ordered to net the turtle and carry it, but instead hit the turtle with a crowbar. The presence of small turtles in the Hoan Kiem is well documented. The videos only show the head of a turtle, with only shiny water... it looks too much like a close up of a turtle head. I should think the most obvious appearance of a giant turtle would be the huge shell ,the head is tiny compared to its shell.
