Following the cancellation of the Valencian Community Grand Prix, [3] [4] due to flooding in the region caused by cold drop, which was to be held on the weekend of 15–17 November 2024 as the last round of the championship, organizers of the MotoGP World Championship decided to create the Barcelona Solidarity Grand Prix under the motto "Racing for Valencia".
