DISCOVERY Children's Museum is a nonprofit children's museum in Las Vegas, Nevada. Formerly known as Lied Discovery Children's museum, this 58,000-square-foot (5,400 m 2), three-story space is now located adjacent to The Smith Center in Downtown Las Vegas. The Museum sees roughly 250,000 visitors each year.
This is an aerial photograph taken at night from a helicopter of the Las Vegas Strip. It is somewhat grainy because it was taken using a high ISO. A gyroscope was used to help steady the camera, however, a shallow depth of field was still needed to keep the image from going completed out of focus.

The Terry Lee Wells Nevada Discovery Museum concept came from Chris Riche, an entrepreneur who conducted a feasibility study on the need for Reno to have a science center. He eventually raised funds to create the organization and Terry Lee Wells Foundation donated $4 million. In return, the museum was named after their foundation. [5]
