Assuming you mean an x with overline [x̅]: Type the x then go to Insert> Symbol. In the Character Viewer select Unicode from the left list [You may have to click the to Customize the List] Select Combining Diacritical Marks in the top middle pane. Locate & double-click the Overline [U-0305] in the lower middle pane. Close the Character Viewer.
some of my word docs have a weird sign in front of the file name. It is a squiggley line followed by a dollar sign (~$). when i open the file a window comes up giving me three options one of which is "english - windows" I click on that and click ok and the document has a weird bunch of writing. thanks for any suggestions regarding this problem ...

I have tried most of suggested solution. Uninstalling I2C HID driver and reinstalling, downgrading drivers, load default BIOS (it was working great - Unfortunately, it doesn't now), and the last working solution now is unchecking auto detect external USB from BIOS setting : (. But, in the current context, using the @ limits rows returned from the new "dynamic array" feature to a single row.
