I remember in some thread on here, a poster claimed Macchio was one of the few "in it for the fame and money" 80s young stars who had some actual talent to back it up. In the end, it’s a mostly silly story depending on predictable “bombshell” soap opera plot devices. I read in the reviews it is based on an airport paperback type novel and that is exactly what the movie is. Cicely Tyson played the first Black female lead character on TV in 1962 IIRC, and Diahann Carroll of course did "Julia" later in the decade. (Also, "Star Trek" was obviously an outlier in this respect.) Not clear what any of this has to do with "Cobra Kai," however., Trailer for Part 2 just dropped.

He was a beauty that one. Warren Beatty came to Shakespeare in Love's defense and produced evidence that Saving Private Ryan had actually done more advertising than Shakespeare in Love. Don't forget to revisit Elizabeth with Cate Blanchett. He plays her love interest. He's definitely an underrated leading actor.

September 6, 2024 5:15 PM. R374, Soprano Home Movies, is probably the best episode of the entire show. That's the episode you're referring to.
