Re: Hard time finding comfortable, affordable sofa. I think you should plan on a $ 2,500 budget to get into mid-tier builds on domestic fabric sofas. Stay away from the Mall and Catalog furniture stores, they have the highest markups. Shop an independent. All the information that tells you what a quality build would be is right here on the forum.

You can definitely tell its mass-produced by line operators rather than craftsmen. King Hickory is more of a traditional build, with 8-way hand-tied coil springs and the like. I'd put it a notch down from Taylor King but a notch above Flexsteel. Good luck! Straight answers from thirty-six years in the business.
I am thinking of purchasing a flexsteel fabric sofa in a mid-range fabric. The price is about $1350. Does anyone have recommendations for other brands of sofas in this price range? (We are a family with teen children.) The up charge for doing this sofa, with a chair and ottoman in their kashmira fabric is about $425.

Re: Opinion on Flexsteel Power Reclining Sofa Zoey in Leather. I refer to "Service-Duty" grade furniture as pieces that will not fall apart, but have noticeable tailoring and design shortcomings. It is not crafted, it's assembled. If Flexsteel were a food it would be a Big Mac. Fills you up, reasonable in price, however it will never be ...
Greetings All! My fiancee and I have been looking for a reclining sofa. We fell in love with the Flexsteel Dylan (Yes, out of their China-made Latitudes line) and, as we were walking out of the store, the owner asked if the salesperson had mentioned the month-end price increase. Short story, he offered a 20% discount if we purchased that day.
Re: Flexsteel blue steel springs repair. On a chair that is 40 years old, its not worth getting into high-dollar repairs and certainly not worth trying to re-spring a Flexteel unit, that's not collectible upholstery. You should be able to get it welded easily enough, and then you'll be good to go. Straight answers from thirty-six years in the ...
What do you think are the top 10 sofa brands?
By far, the # 1 reason a power recliner has stopped working is due to a connection coming loose somewhere in the linkage. If you have power to the transformer (green light), then roll the recliner onto its back and look for a zipper to access the wiring to the motor. Check the connections once unzipped and make sure they are all tight.
