NYFA provides unrestricted grants of $8,000 to New York-based artists through the NYSCA/NYFA Artist Fellowship program. First launched in 1985, the program has provided over $30 million to artists in 15 disciplines at critical stages in their creative development.
New York Foundation for the Arts (NYFA) is a 501 (c) (3) service organization that empowers artists in all disciplines, as well as cultural workers, to achieve success on their own terms by providing critical support, resources, and opportunities.
The NYSCA/NYFA Artist Fellowship is an $8,000 unrestricted cash grant available to artists living in New York State and/or one of the Tribal Nations located therein. This grant is awarded in fifteen different disciplines over a three-year period (five categories a year) and the application is free to complete.
