    Expired numbers stay out of circulation for a while but eventually get assigned to a new free user. If a prior free user of your expired number upgraded to a paid account then that number would be assigned to that paid user even if your 7 days has not elapsed.

    Porting of numbers requires a physical street address to confirm that the person who is requesting the number is truly that person. This is to prevent your number from being fraudulently ported away from you. If even one character that you enter does not match the address on file with the losing carrier, the port will be rejected.
