The Greater Milwaukee Foundation’s discretionary grantmaking supports projects and programs that align with priorities that support our strategic vision of creating a Milwaukee for all. We also have many charitable funds that conduct their own grant cycles throughout the year.
Evaluation criteria. Beyond the due diligence that is standard across all grants, proposals are evaluated on the racial equity impact of these components: Funding requirements for nonprofits or 501 (c) (3) organizations that provide project or program support.
Milwaukee, Wis., June 13, 2023 - The Board of Directors of the Greater Milwaukee Foundation today announced that Greg Wesley will be the organization’s next President and Chief Executive Officer. Wesley succeeds Ellen M. Gilligan, who announced her plans to retire after more than a decade of leadership at the Foundation.
Theresa Scott oversees the Foundation’s equitable economic opportunity portfolio, which includes housing, small business/entrepreneurship and workforce development. She also oversees the Foundation’s Reasons for Hope MKE Fund grant program. She joined the Foundation in 2022.
