Many of the tractors are reliable and good buys, just like any other manufacture's tractors, but it would appear their quality control has suffered as of late. Which is also true with a number of the manufacturers of competing products.
Cons: The 6060 only comes in 6 speed transmission. Tier 4 emissions system. Mahindra. Pros: Better HP, lift capacity, heavier frame for about the same price as 6060. 15 speed transmission. Less plastic parts, heavier duty plastic where used. Hydraulic hoses seem to be better placed where more difficult to damage.
1 post · Joined 2024. #22 · Jun 15, 2024. That 40 amp fuse on my 4540 2016 model blows when I turn the key to the start position on the ignition switch. I have a little over 300 hours on it and have never had a problem with it starting before. can turn the key on and jump across the starter and it starts up and runs.

Hey everyone, I am looking at buying a tractor (first one ever), and joined the site to try and soak up some knowledge and first hand experience. I went and test drove a Mahindra Max 28XL and the Mahindra 3016. I liked them both, but like the size of the 3016 better.
6. Two weeks ago coolant began spraying out of the overflow. 7. Tractor is back at the dealer and they are reporting possible head gasket leak of cracked head or block. Dealer stated that they would have to contact Mahindra rep, but first response is that the warranty is out. 3 years and just went out of warranty.
Bransons have been around for a while. They were called Century tractors until sometime in the mid 2000's. They are Korean made and are on par in quality to the other Korean tractors (Kubota, Kioti, LS) and of Mahindra (all of which are quite good). As with other brands, dealers vary in quality. RC Wells. 2603 posts · Joined 2008. #2 · Oct 8, 2018. Perform an engine block integrity test, and verify the block is not cracked leaking compression into the cooling system. If that happens the engine overheats under load, the greater the load the worse it overheats.
The Yanmars are built like tanks, take the abuse and keep running. Some for well over 40 years without a tear done or rebuild or overhaul. I went with the YM2610 because it shares soooo many parts with it's John Deere CUT siblings and the Yanmar domestic tractors. Thus, parts are easy to get or even upgrades.
IMO, Kubota is superior to third world tractors. They make quality machines. I had a similar opinion as well.... but having now owned both, I think the design and quality of my Kioti exceeds that of the Kubota I had. Kioti is doing a LOT of things right, IMHO. confederatemule.
