A more sophisticated effect in election results tables can be achieved using this template. This adds a link to the candidate's party and also adds a color tab to the left of the candidate. See Election box begin and Election box end. See this template's page for a new party.
partynname= for the name of a political party (linked at the user's discretion). partyncolor= for the color of a political party. Hexadecimal codes or color names can be used. This value defaults to gray. Candidate name. In elections that involve only political parties, the candidate name column can be left out.
The begin and end templates start and end a table with appropriate columns and formatting. The candidate template is used once for each candidate and contributes a row to the table. When using this template please use the election box end template rather than simply inserting |} at the end of the election box. For example:
