The Pacific Junior Hockey League (PJHL) is a junior ice hockey league which operates in the Lower Mainland and the Sunshine Coast of British Columbia. The Ice Hawks joined the league in 1997 as an expansion team. In its PJHL history, the team has won the Cyclone Taylor Cup once, in 2006. The 2006 Championship Ice Hawks team suffered no regulation losses in the PJHL playoffs. The Ice Hawks have won the PJHL Championship in 2001, 2006, 2012, 2018 and 2023.
The Kodiaks joined the league in 2008 as an expansion team. In its PJHL history, the team has won the PJHL championship three times, in 2010, 2014 and 2017. In 2012-13 the Kodiaks won the Brittain Conference title and qualified for the PJHL finals, where they lost to the Richmond Sockeyes.
