A VIN is composed of 17 characters (numbers and capital letters). Your VIN is assigned after Ford has accepted the order. Your dealer will need to give you your VIN. Customer service is very much a dealership issue, not a Ford, GM or (insert make here) issue. I've had horrible experiences with Chrysler, GM and Ford dealerships. Being in the business and seeing the things I see on the forums and first hand I'll be buying Fords for a very long time to come.
