As others have noted, I can isolate the few blocks in your file an copy/paste all day long with no issues. 1. Use COPY command: it's the better way to copy inside AutoCAD since copy/paste is a Windows OS function. 2. If/when you use COPY?PASTE next time and the problem repeats, do this test: QSAVE the file and close AutoCAD.
Then do a copy and paste; copy the good linetype from the one drawing to the other. This will load the “good” hidden line definition. You now should be able to take the "new" hidden linetype and correct all of those lines with the copied definition.
I want to paste text (numbers) into the command line as I am drawing a line. In AutoCad 2011/2012 if I paste (CTRL+V), then the numbers in the clipboard will be pasted into the command line and all I have to do is push enter. In AutoCad 2014 if I paste (CTRL+V), AutoCad will paste the clipboard contents as an mtext object into the drawing.
I cannot copy geometry from one drawing to another using clipboard copy paste. The closest thing I get is a line that I am guessing has all the geometry where every point has the x coordinate missing or zero (and sometimes the y coordinate is missing or zero). The drawings come from a pdf to dxf conversion by a Catia cad system. Any suggestions for a newer user

On the command line it confirms the number of objects copied. However, when I select "Paste", it asks me to specify an "insertion point", but there is no ghost image and nothing pastes. It will not paste from one ...
Also Copy/pasting Feature lines may or may not honor the original sites, grading feature lines may crash C3D going to the clipboard and multiple copies of grading criteria may end up in the file. IF (and only if) you run into issues w/ copy/pasting I would recommend selecting all of the feature lines and use the wblock command to pop them out ...
copy-paste hidden line diffrences can anyone give me a logical explanation as of why when I copy the rectangle (see attached file) into the other file, the scale of the hidden line is very different.
I misunderstood "linework" as meaning a collection of styles, patterns and weights. I see you now, that you just want to copy the shape you made in a detail family to a profile family. Yep, Clipboard Copy/Paste is the right Revit tool to use in this case -- just as Expert Elite @Alfredo_Medina said . Have a Merry One!
