Composed of six buildings dating back to 1830, [1] the farmstead has been designated a historic site because of its unusually well-preserved architecture.
South of Canal Winchester, Slate Run Metro Park's most notable feature is an 1880s-era working historical farm staffed by volunteers. Visitors can see 19th century farm life, interact with the farm animals, and learn about canning and meat preservation.
