Truman Osborn Angell (/ ˈ eɪ n dʒ əl / "angel"; June 5, 1810 – October 16, 1887) was an American architect who served many years as the official architect of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (LDS Church).

The San Diego California Temple (45) is located in the La Jolla district of San Diego. It was built with two main spires, but unique to this temple are four smaller spires at the base of each main spire. The East spire is topped with the angel Moroni, which adorns most LDS temples.
Like many buildings in the area, it was destroyed in the 1906 San Francisco earthquake, and the community worked together to rebuild it [1] at its original location, 520 Pine, near St. Mary's Square.
