Business State Highway 34-A (Bus. SH 34-A) was a bypass of Terrell, designated on February 28, 2013 and completed in early 2014. This business route was removed from the state highway system on July 27, 2017; the southern part of Bus. SH 34-A was re-designated as Spur 226 while the northern section was given over to the city of Terrell. [12]
Texas State Highway 276 is an east-west route that is known locally as Quinlan Parkway. It connects with Rockwall to the west and Emory to the east. Texas State Highway Loop 264 runs from downtown Quinlan connecting SH 276 and SH 34. Farm-to-market Road 751 heads south towards Wills Point.
The next use of the Loop 264 designation was in Hunt County as a loop off SH 34 in Quinlan as a replacement of a portion of FM 35. On January 28, 1970, the section from SH 34 in Quinlan to a point 0.544 miles (0.875 km) west was transferred to SH 276 and the route was changed to Spur 264.
