A tree plantation, forest plantation, plantation forest, timber plantation or tree farm is a forest planted for high volume production of wood, usually by planting one type of tree as a monoculture forest. The term tree farm also is used to refer to tree nurseries and Christmas tree farms.

The colony has survived an estimated 13,000 years through clonal reproduction, [ 3 ] [ 4 ] [ 5 ] making it one of the world's oldest living trees . [ 5 ]
Quercus marilandica is a small deciduous tree growing to 15 meters (49 feet) tall, with bark cracked into rectangular black plates with narrow orange fissures.
