The Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM), or the Malaysian Certificate of Education, is a national examination sat for by all Form 5 secondary school students in Malaysia.It is the equivalent of the General Certificate of Secondary Education (GCSE) of England, Wales and Northern Ireland; the Nationals 4/5 of Scotland; and the GCE Ordinary Level (O Level) of the Commonwealth of Nations.

The last major strike in Malaysia occurred in 1962. 9,000 railway workers went on strike to demand conversion of daily wages be changed to monthly salaries. The strike lasted 22 days and all government workers were converted to monthly wages. The railway belonged to and was operated by the government at the time, but has since been corporatised.

The Malaysian Minister of Human Resources (Malay: Menteri Sumber Manusia; Jawi: منتري سومبر مأنسي ) is Steven Sim Chee Keong since 12 December 2023. [1] The minister was supported by Deputy Minister of Human Resources Abdul Rahman Mohamad. The Minister administers the portfolio through the Ministry of Human Resources.
