The season follows the Winx Club's second year at the Alfea College for Fairies, where they strive to earn an enhancement to their powers called Charmix. A new member of the Winx Club (Aisha, [a] the Fairy of Waves) is introduced in the season's first episode. Meanwhile, the Trix are freed from their prison by Darkar, who becomes their leader.
Winx Club is an animated children's television series co-produced by Rainbow SpA and later Nickelodeon. [note 1] It was created and directed by Italian animator Iginio Straffi. It premiered on 28 January 2004, becoming a ratings success in Italy and on Nickelodeon networks internationally.
Knut returns with more ghouls and a troll, launching a surprise attack at Bloom's home. The Winx, along with Sky, Brandon, Helia, and Princess Krystal, who is the princess of Flora's realm, Linphea, go into the Magic Archive to begin their search. The Trix attack the Winx and during the battle Sky takes a blow to the head that causes him to lose his memory.
