The Log Cabin Democrat is a daily newspaper in Conway, Arkansas, United States, serving Conway and Faulkner County and some surrounding areas. It was founded in July 1879 as The Log Cabin . Its publisher is David Meadows, who also serves as the publisher of The Courier in Russellville .

Tackett was born near Black Springs in Montgomery County in southwestern Arkansas. He moved with his parents to Glenwood, Arkansas, and attended public school; afterwards, he matriculated at Arkansas Polytechnic College at Russellville (1930–1932), continued at Ouachita College in Arkadelphia (1932–1933), and graduated in 1935 from the University of Arkansas School of Law at Fayetteville.
Oak Grove Cemetery is the oldest cemetery of the city of Conway, Arkansas. It was established in 1880, five years after the town was incorporated and nine after its first settlement. The cemetery is in active use, with more than 3,000 burials. Among the interred are many of the city's earliest and most prominent citizens. [2]
