The 2023 Columbus Challenger was a professional tennis tournament played on indoor hard courts. It was the 13th edition of the men's tournament which was part of the 2023 ATP Challenger Tour . It took place in Columbus , United States between September 18 and 24, 2023.
The Columbus Challenger is a professional tennis tournament played on hard courts. It is currently part of the ATP Challenger Tour and WTA 125K series. The ATP event is held annually in Columbus, Ohio, U.S., as it has been since 2015, the tournament's start. The women's edition started in 2021.
The first challenger events were held in 1978, with eighteen events taking place. Two were held on the week beginning January 8, one in Auckland and another in Hobart.The next events were held one at a time beginning June 18 and ending August 18 in the following U.S. locations, in order: Shreveport, Birmingham, Asheville, Raleigh, Hilton Head, Virginia Beach, Wall, Cape Cod, and Lancaster.
The 2021 Columbus Challenger was a professional challenger level tennis tournament played on indoor hard courts. It was the tenth edition of the men's tournament which was part of the 2021 ATP Challenger Tour [ 1 ] and the first edition of the women's event, that was part of 2021 WTA 125K series . [ 2 ]

The Champions tie-break is an expanded version of the conventional professional tennis tie-break, whereby the winner is the first player to reach 10 points and lead by a margin of 2. Rankings points on the Tour are distributed as follows: Winner: 400 / Runner-up: 300 / 3rd place: 200 / 4th place: 150 / No. 5-6: 80 / No. 7-8: 60 points.
