Get Some Go Again Sessions is a 2005 double album by the Rollins Band, although on this release it is credited to Henry Rollins & Mother Superior. [1]This album contains the original Get Some Go Again album plus the remaining tracks from session (previously released on their own as Yellow Blues), as well as two live tracks and two videos.
Rollins Band was an American rock band formed in Van Nuys, California. The band was active from 1987 to 2006 and was led by former Black Flag vocalist Henry Rollins . They are best known for the songs " Low Self Opinion " and " Liar ", both of which garnered heavy airplay on MTV in the early-mid 1990s.
By 1999, recording for the next Rollins Band album commenced. In July 1999, Rollins Band went on a small eight show tour of the United States, where they previewed some of the new songs. [9] For the album, Rollins booked the band to record at Cherokee Studios in Hollywood. He would leave by himself every night at 6pm.
At the time, the label had a distribution deal with BMG, which has led to some considering this as the major label debut of Rollins Band. Life Time was originally released in 1987 and included four live tracks recorded in Kortrijk, Belgium in October 1987.. The album was subsequently re-mastered and re-released in 1999 without the live tracks but with the addition of three tracks from the Do It album; "Do It", "Move Right In," and "Next Time".
The songs for the album were written throughout 1993, after the band completed touring for their previous release The End of Silence.The writing for the songs took place in East Village, Manhattan, since all of the members of the band lived in New York, with the exception of Henry Rollins, who was based in Los Angeles.
