It is located in southern Alameda County, near the cities of Fremont, California and Sunol, California. It is located between Mission Peak (to its west) and Sunol Regional Wilderness (to its east).
The elevation of the park is about 1,000 feet (300 m), making it an important link with nearby ridge-top parks such as Garin Regional Park, Pleasanton Ridge Regional Park, Mission Peak Regional Preserve, and Sunol Regional Wilderness. [1]

The Sunol Water Temple is located at 505 Paloma Way in Sunol, California. Designed by Willis Polk , the 59-foot (18 m) high classical pavilion is made up of twelve concrete Corinthian columns and a concrete ring girder that supports the conical wood and tile roof.
