Moira Shire Council is a Local Government Area in the Northern Victoria Region of Victoria, Australia. Located in the north-east part of the state, it covers an area of 4,045 square kilometres (1,562 sq mi). As at August 2021 the population was 30,522. [1] It includes the towns of Cobram, Nathalia, Numurkah, Tungamah and Yarrawonga.

Yarrawonga / j ær ə ˈ w ɒ ŋ ɡ ə / [2] is a town in the Shire of Moira local government area in the Australian state of Victoria. In the 2021 census , Yarrawonga had a population of 8,661 people.
The County of Moira is one of the 37 counties of Victoria which are part of the cadastral divisions of Australia, used for land titles. It is located to the east of the Goulburn River, south of the Murray River, and west of part of the Ovens River. Part of Wangaratta is in the county, on the eastern end of it.
Cobram East is a locality situated in the Shire of Moira, Victoria, Australia. The locality is close to the Murray River. It features a caravan park and offers numerous walking tracks in the state forest. The post office in the area was initially opened as 'Cobram' on 1 January 1870.
Numurkah (/ nj uː ˈ m ɜːr k ə / new-MUR-kə) [2] is a town in Victoria, Australia, located on the Goulburn Valley Highway, 37 kilometres (23 mi) north of Shepparton, in the Shire of Moira. At the 2016 census , Numurkah had a population of 4,768.

Lower Moira is a locality in northern Victoria, Australia. The locality is in the south-west part of Shire of Moira. Lower Moira is mostly farmland. To the west is the New South Wales border. [1] The post office there opened in 1902, closed in 1930, reopened on 12 September 1938 and closed on 19 February 1953. [2]
