Nord Anglia Education, commonly referred to as Nord Anglia, is an international private school operator headquartered in the United Kingdom. Kevin McNeany (born 1943 Keady, Northern Ireland), is a Northern Irish entrepreneur and innovator specifically in the education and international education sectors. He started off as a teacher in 1964 and has since founded Nord Anglia Education (1972) and Orbital Education (2008).
As of April 27, 2015, Meritas has sold several of their acquired schools to Nord Anglia Education (NAE) including, North Broward Prep, Collège du Léman, Léman International, The Village School, Windermere Prep, Instituto San Roberto. It is unclear whether the remaining Meritas schools will be acquired by NAE. [4]
Nord Anglia currently maintains two other schools in Manhattan, Nord Anglia International School New York (ages 2-14) and the other school Avenues New York (ages 1-18) neither of which have an on site boarding facility. The school became a member of the Meritas Family of Schools in 2005 and then Nord Anglia Education in June 2015. [6] Normally, Tuition ranges from $28,750 in Pre-K to $40,900 in High school but Lighthouse Point Academy has a higher tuition ranging from $44,700 in Lower School to $51,400 in High School. [7]
St Andrews is a Nord Anglia Education operated school and part of a network of 78 schools that spans across 31 countries. St Andrews has over 2000 students representing an international community of 50+ nationalities.
In the summer of 2015, the school joined Nord Anglia Education. The new 46,000 square foot athletic center was to include a Varsity athletic gymnasium with a full size collegiate regulation main basketball court and two high school regulation cross courts as well as a natatorium with a 25-yard competition pool.
