Head of State is a 2003 American political comedy film directed, written by, produced by and starring Chris Rock and co-starring Bernie Mac. It marked the directorial debut of Rock, who had previously worked as a writer, producer, and actor. The plot follows a minor politician who unexpectedly becomes the President of the United States.
In 2003 he made his directorial debut with the political satire Head of State (2003), followed by his films as a director I Think I Love My Wife (2007) and Top Five (2014). He also starred in the comedies Death at a Funeral (2010), [1] Grown Ups (2010), its 2013 sequel, and Dolemite Is My Name (2019).
