The mysterious mixer control came up when I opened Chrome. That makes little sense because when I go to any site with audio, another mixer control is spawned. Open Task Manager. In the Processes tab look for the volume mixer app. Kill it by right-clicking it and selecting End Task. Thanks for your response but it doesn't show up in Task Manager. It disappears some of the time when I shut down rather than hibernate like I usually do but it comes back after a while.

30 Jan 2020 #1. App Doesn't Show Up on Sound Mixer. I'm about to give up on this after spending several hours un/reinstalling audio driver. I even tried reinstalling my Windows 10 X64 Version 1909 (Os Build 18363.592) but to no avail. I've updated my drivers using Snappy Drivers.
