Genesee County (/ ˈ dʒ ɛ n ə s i / JEN-ə-see) is a county in the U.S. state of Michigan. As of the 2020 Census , the population was 406,211, [ 1 ] making it the fifth-most populous county in Michigan.

The first Arenac Courthouse, dating from 1883, burned in 1889. The county built this second courthouse at the same site in 1890, but in 1892 a county-wide vote moved the county seat to Standish. This building became the Omer Masonic Hall until the Lodge move in 1997. It is now owned by the Arenac County Historical Society.
Crossroads Village is a living history museum in Genesee County, Michigan, near Flint. It is operated by the Genesee County Parks and Recreation Commission alongside the Huckleberry Railroad. Initially proposed as a Flint River recreational area and a farm museum, it was opened as a historical village in 1976.
