Clinton County is a county in the U.S. state of Michigan. As of the 2020 Census, the population was 79,128. [2] The county seat is St. Johns. [3] The county was created in 1831 and organized in 1839. It is named after early American politician DeWitt Clinton [citation needed]. [1]

Watertown Charter Township is a charter township of Clinton County in the U.S. state of Michigan. The population was 5,563 in the 2020 census , [ 3 ] which was a big increase from 4,836 at the 2010 census .

The township is located northeast of the center of Clinton County. It surrounds the city of St. Johns, the county seat. U.S. Route 127 crosses the township, with access from exits 96 and 99. US 127 runs north to Mount Pleasant and south to Lansing, the state capital. M-21 leads east to Owosso and west to Ionia.
