Verses 6:10-20 tell us how to protect ourselves—how to establish a solid defense—how to mount an effective offense—how to parry the Rulers of Darkness. They tell us how to live Godly lives and serve God well in a spiritually challenging world.
In this passage from Ephesians, Paul tells us that we need constantly to be ready for battle against spiritual powers. That ought to be a message that soldiers can understand. Evil exists all around us.
The author of Ephesians says that faith quenches “all the flaming arrows of the evil one.” How can we ever survive the tough times without faith. • Salvation?
Paul begins this passage by telling us to: “ Be strong in the Lord and in the strength of his power. Put on the whole armor of God.” Our strength against Satan and all of his spiritual forces is found in the Lord. That is where our strength is, in the Lord, in the strength of his power.
Let’s look at what Ephesians 6 tells us about Our Spiritual Armor. I. The Need For Your Spiritual Armor. He says in :11, “Put on the full armor of God, SO THAT” — whenever you see “so that,” that’s a “purpose clause”; He’s telling you the REASON for it — “SO THAT you will be able to stand firm against the schemes of the devil.”
I invite you to take your Bibles and turn to Ephesians chapter 6, verse 10. It’s in your pew Bible on page 1067. I want to highlight four observations I make about how to Stand Strong.
Ephesians 6:10-20. Good Morning. Please open your Bibles to Ephesians 6 as we look at the pieces of the Armor of God which are essential for Christian warfare… In the first three chapters of the Book of Ephesians, the Apostle Paul writes about all that God has done for us through Jesus and how spiritually rich we all are in Christ.

Jesus bought you with His blood and ensured that none of those so bought would be lost. Praise the name of the Lord. But let’s look at the word of God and see what He has to say about spiritual battle and strength. God wants you to be strong in Him because you are in a spiritual battle against the powerful forces of darkness.
Ephesians 6:10-20. The famous autobiography of Corrie Ten Boom, called "The Hiding Place," tells how the Ten Booms, a Christian family living during the Nazi occupation in World War 2 risked life and limb in order to save Jews and others from certain death in concentration camps.
